Re: Original matching [SA] 91/30

I often times think that the history of the rifle is one of the best parts. I spend far more time reading and researching about my rifles than handling/looking at/shooting them.

Even deciphering the markings on them is fun!

Looks like a great find too!

Re: Swiss sight corrector

!Update! K31s are not the only Swiss rifles that have sight correctors. Here is a REGULA on my 96/11. It goes under the rear sight where turning it will raise or lower the sight. You can see that it is marked for the G11 (a rifle with the same specs this one was upgraded to). http://i13.photobucket....

I love this kid of info because people like me that don't know a lot about photography don't know the best perimeters to compare cameras by or what's most important.

Those are such strange looking rifles with the bolt handle like that. It sure is working well though.

It is fun getting a new rifle and then tracking down all the things to go with it. Us guys accessorize too.

This makes me want to go to a gun show now too!

Not that I want to sell anything...

Really though, I think it's great that you pulled the trigger on this and gave it a shot. Looking forward to the final report!

You did just fine. It sure looks like a nice show too. Good lighting, pathways wide enough to walk down. Nice. You really did move those rifles! I wonder what the crowd on Sunday will be like. I think that they are pretty cool. A Furter, Grunel, and Girex are on my K31s but here are some that are not mounted. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a292/ArchFluffy/015_zpsjhqmlja3.jpg You can recognize the Sahli and TipTop from the list. I bet you'll find some people like me are just happy to see milsurps at a gun show. I'm seeing more and more knives, t-shirts , and beef jerky. And I like jerky. Hey, wait. What about one or two of your old cameras? That might work petty well actually ;) It's going to be an adventure and a learning ...

Re: Swiss sight corrector

I can't think of one from era of the K31 and before. They used diopters on their later stg57 and stg90.

I look with envie at other peoples milsurps that have adjustable sights (ring and otherwise) while at the range. How wonderful it must be!

It looks like such a nice, clean, happy place. Some indoor ranges here look like they are falling apart. How loud was the .308 in there even with the hearing protection?

Re: South American Mausers

Nice one Niner Delta. Some of these old rifles are so nice compared to things I see brand new in firearm stores. And the short rifles and carbines look really handy. Also the ones converted over to easy to find calibers can make getting ammo easy. I've been looking for a Colombian Mauser but I sort ...
