Thinking "green" to save the planet

Saw this on facebook and it rang some memory bells. Kids today have no idea. Politicians who wrap themselves in the green earth banner have no problem with plastic bags and bottles and the rest of the slow to degrade garbage created today as only containers or padding. Re: new member from England

Welcome to the site. Wish the site wasn't having some problems at the moment because of a server crash and a need to update the board. Hopefully it will be corrected in the near future. Thanks for joining the group, particularly under the circumstances of the site present condition.

Re: French wine in an American grocery store

Re: French wine in an American grocery store

I doubt it, Vern. Frenchmen don't seem to make beer...or at least for export. Just thinking about it.... there must be beer from nearly every country under the sun in the US....but can't remember any French beer.

Re: Turkey day

That reminds me. A guy on the Skype chats for my other site was gifted a turkey cooker that doesn't use oil. Cooks a turkey in about 10 minutes per pound...so I read. He comes down to Gulf Shores most years and says if I wanted to try it he'd give it to me. He's never used it. Says it is just too mu...

Re: French wine in an American grocery store

Duncan, the Fat Bastard tasted a lot like kerosene smells. Vern, if I could remember what kind of California wine I bought a year ago I'd buy again for the next such gathering. I wish I had written it down. The couple of different bottles I bought went over fine. Guests were willing to take home wha...
