Re: National Tracing Center [NTC].

Considering the average age of the leaders of the House and Senate, most of our politicians in leadership positions are ignorant of the modern digital age because they were well into middle age when it started and senior citizens now. They never learned anything about it as the digital age grew rapi...

Re: THE FIRST WORLD WAR as reported in the daily news

British get a bright idea. To stop the German subs they decided to sink some ships in the channel outlets to two submarine ports. Beats hunting for them all over the oceans of the world....if it could keep the subs in port in port and the ones out at sea from returning for resupply.

Vern, there is a guy who was one of the Battalion RTO's in 1970 in Vietnam from our old infantry battalion. He, last time I had any contact, was working for the national park service or was a forest ranger or something like that. His great, or great great, grandfather was on a ship in Farragut's fle...

That's interesting. Reading about the "car park" and the "plastic bin bags" I thought this has to be another British anti gun rant. But... it isn't all a chicken with shit sauce curry dish. The ATF uses computers and they give free software and hardware to manufacturers and retai...

Re: THE FIRST WORLD WAR as reported in the daily news

Wilson may not have enough sense to not touch a hot exhaust pipe but he wasn't about to become dictator in chief and preside as commander in chief over a system of military trials for "disloyal" citizens.

A lady reporter gives her take on a tank ride. US troops get the best of 1200 Germans on a small section of the line. Meanwhile the Germans and British are fighting around Ypres. Ypres is pronounced "E pr uh" or something like phonetic. Another day of the spring offensive. And Marshal Foch...

Re: THE FIRST WORLD WAR as reported in the daily news

Atrocity stories were front page news a hundred years ago. Reading this one reminded me of the movie Platoon, which was fiction, or the actual horrific My Lai Massacre in the Vietnam war about a half century later. However, unlike many such WWI stories that were likely more propaganda rumor than tru...

Dick's Sporting goods news

Dick's Sporting Goods is not only no longer selling semi-auto M15 style rifles, they are destroying the ones they have left in inventory. Hardly my favorite store. There is one in my home town but it's generally overpriced and underwhelming as to inventory. Wonder what their stock holders think abou...

Not a chance. Vern, they are all over ebay. That's the good news. The bad news is they start off "reasonable" but for some reason they end up with shipping just under $40 a lot of the time. But.... you might get lucky. Search M7 bayonet alone and you can find one delivered for $23.69...no scabbard. You ...
