Re: One for Miller Tyme

I have 2 of these, ( one is pristine) but would love to see that rifle up close, if it is indeed a Hungarian M52 it could help to resolve a debate on another forum I am on. The stock isn't Hungarian, it lacks the "02" cartouche on the r/h side of the butt stock. I believe the barrel bands ...

1943 Remington 03a4 sniper rifle

Just got my latest addition to my collection unpacked and inspected, and I am quite pleased with it. Its a Remington 03a4 sniper rifle dated 10-43 with the correct M73b1 scope. This rifle has its share of bumps and bruises but it doesn't appear to have not gone through any major arsenal refurbishmen...

Don't know if they can ship ammo across the pond Duncan, but these people seem to have it from time to time, but it is pricey.

Went to the OGCA show Saturday, sold 2 firearms, and left shaking my head at an asshat seller who wouldn't sell me his Swedish M41 because I was a "03" FFL holder. He offered to ship it to an Indiana FFL if I paid shipping and transfer fee. Told him to keep his rifle and enjoy his t...

Got a keeper there Duncan, while you are on a roll, you know the 120th anniversary of the end of the Spanish American War is December 10th 2018, you could get a 30/40 Krag to fire off a salute to its ending.

Might be by myself Walt

Flea market find , numbers matching M38

About every 4 years or so the wife and I take off the last Wednesday in August and go to a big Flea Market in S.E. Indiana to dispose of stuff we no longer need, and for her to buy stuff other people don't need. Well this year was different, a gentleman set up next to me and had a 1942 Izhevsk M38 f...

Re: British Enfield Sniper No.4 Mk1(T) SMLE 303

Well after much debate on several Lee Enfield & British Firearms forums the verdict is in, and it is all I could hope for. 1st I will start by saying what we thought was a Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) stamp on the Butt socket ring turned out to be a badly struck ROF ( Royal Ordnance Factory) ...

Smells a bit fishy then, I don;'t see why it should be a give away price if it is legit..............keep us posted Walt! Still gathering info on my No4Mk1 (T), but it looks like it isn't POF ( Pakistani Ordinance Factory ) marked, but rather ROF marked. Some consensus is starting to build that wha...

Re: British Enfield Sniper No.4 Mk1(T) SMLE 303

Looks nice, is it complete with the box? No,unfortunately Duncan it has no box or scope can, lots of odd things with this one, some experts think it might be a POF (Pakistani) manufactured sniper but won't know until it's been broken down. Got it on the cheap for less than the value of the scope an...

British Enfield Sniper No.4 Mk1(T) SMLE 303

Took a flier at an Enfield No.4 Mk1 Sniper today, some unanswered questions about this rifle, but it was the consensus of several respected collectors that I couldn't get hurt for the price.

All that's left now is the waiting.

Always wanted to shoot a 03A4, but original models are 5 Large and up so I went looking for a Gibbs and picked up this one with a M84 scope on it. Looking forward to some range time with it this week.

Salute to my Dad and the Greatest Generation

73 years ago today my dad was in Liester, England , with the 82nd AB, 505th Co C 3rd Batt. when they recieved word that the Invasion of Europe was on for that night, only to latter be given a 24 hour stand down order. Wasn't really looking to buy another PU sniper but the fact that this one is a 1944 and MO stamped to boot peaked my interest. So after much thought and a few Bourbons I made an offer and as you can see it was accepted. The rifle is well worn on the outside, the scope was replaced during one of its ...
