Although I saw one just like the 0.22 conversion above, it was a little too rich for my pocket, but I was able to pick up the single shot insert for the Mk VI. Great fun and it does shoot to POA at 7 metres. A little cheaper than using my 0.455 hand loads. Dave_n

One advantage of having gone West almost 40 years ago (when it was easy!!) is that I now have cut (3) (0.45ACP) and uncut (1) (0.455) Mk VIs, 4 X Mk IVs in 0.38/200 three Enfields (Mk 1, 1* and 1**)in 380/200 and a couple of S&Ws in the same calibre plus a beautiful 0.455 S&W Mk II and to to...

If it has matching numbers on a flat on the underside of the barrel and on the cylinder and is still in 38S&W, then could be 250 and up. Proof markings should be 3.5 tons sq inch if UK proofed. What other markings are on the barrel or cylinder? Dave_n

I have a rather unusual Pistol No 2 Mk 1 in that it is a 1942 marked, walnut grips with the channels across each side (which would match the date) but, it still has the full hammer and when I looked very carefully (using Skennerton's book as a guide), the full grooves were present inside the frame f...

Living on the "West side of the pond" means that I can keep my Webleys with me and shoot them. Managed to pick up both a cut MkVI and a MkIV (0.38) a couple of weeks ago for a song from a chap who did not want them any longer. So I took them home with me (as I have a C&R) and they are ...

If memory serves me correctly, a "Senior Wrangler" was the term for the senior security guard (in modern terms) but in the days when it was used, it referred to the people whose job it was to bring errant undergraduates at "Oxbridge" to their dean for suitable chastizement follow...

I picked up one of the Manhurin PP32's when Centerfire Systems brought them in about a year ago, plus I picked up a CZ50 about five years ago from SOG, one of their first batches. Both work as advertized and I see that my "investments" are increasing in value faster than the stock market!!...

Well, being one of the "brain drain from the 60s" I am able to take advantage of a C&R Permit in Pennsylvania and so far have amassed, and shoot, four MkVIs (three cut for 0.45 ACP, one uncut, one of the last commercial ones made in the 1930s), four MKIVs (.38 S&W), one pre-Victory...
