Re: Lee Speed

Long range volley sights. The knob on the arm shouldn't really turn, it is supposed to be solid fixed to the arm. The knob is used when aiming volley fire. The knob acts as the front bead for sighting through the rear volley peep hole. Put top of bead onto POA. Not very exact, but such was volley fi...

Re: Lee Speed

Just to add to the story of the nose cap. Rigby actually had to sue BSA for royalties. Rigby won in court, BSA had then to acknowledge the patent and mark it on the nose cap. RIGBY PATENT 88. The FOR CORDITE ONLY was a legal disclaimer. In the early days of smokeless powders, there many new propella...

Re: CANADIANS read this!

Thank you. In Canada it seems that some special interest groups with only a handful of members seem to get things changed to suit them when they make a lot of fuss. There are over two million licenced gun owners in Canada, they get schlit on by the Govt and their protests are ignored. It will be int...

Good prices.

Those would not be on the table for long if they were up here in Canada.

Sauce? Wot sauce? You need lard and the black crunchy bits in the bottom of the fry pan for flavour!

Re: Our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and an SMLE.....

Yes, not sure as to why it is called a butty because there is very little or any butter in it. An all time favourite with the bread fried in the bacon grease to a crispy golden brown and topped with the thinest smear of Marmite. Sounds good, don't it? Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I g...

Re: I put a deposit on my first gun show table.

I might seem a little flippant, but I think that many gun show vendors figure out the value of something then double it! It is always easier to haggle to lower than the asking price than it is to haggle it up higher! Price tags have never stopped me from asking politely as to what would be their roc...

Re: That nasty, forend destroying square on stock bolts.

Non of the LMC or LEC series of carbines use the square end bolt and keeper plate. Some late MLE rifles did use such a set up. They are usually marked with a '2' on right hand side of forearm just in front of the butt socket, and also marked on the right butt stock wrist. http://i63.tinypic.com/351x...
