Re: Durham Light Infantry

We did have a DLI museum in the city but Durham County Council, in there wisdom, saw fit to close it and put it's contents into storage. The museum site, and next door, the old DCC HQ are due for demolition and redevelopment. A lot of deceased veterens ashes have been scattred in the museums lovely ...

A service and parade was held in Durham market place and also later in our fantastic Durham Cathedral. I took...

Euroarms Rogers & Spencer

My latest BP revolver is the euroarms R & S in the London Grey stainless finish, .44 cal with a Lothar Walther barrel. A lovely pistol with an excellent trigger, it shoots slightly left and high so i need to take a 4 or 5 o clock hold on the target, which isn't too easy for me, but I'm still wel...

Re: MAS 36 for me

Privi listed at £50 per 100 at the moment Peter, I'll make further enquiries, thanks for the tip. As regards the Mas comp today I reckon my pal had the edge on me though she kindly suggested we came out even stevens. Regardless, it's been another grand day out even though the wind was blowing a hool...

Re: MAS 36 for me

No mas minutes Duncan, I only have 40 cases and by the time I sussed out my sight setting, (700m for the 100m range), point of aim, (7 0 clock on the outer black), then rounds kept back for the chrono testing, I was getting a bit short for frivolities. I really like the sight picture Rober...

MAS 36 for me

I picked up a Mas 36 recently and today was spent fireforming and testing a few rounds which I had converted from some old Norma 6.5X55 brass, basicly nothing more than running it through the 7.5 sizing die and trimming to length. The rifle performed well, shooting slightly right with a bit of verti...

Re: I put a deposit on my first gun show table.

I'm a bit younger than you Robert but I'm starting to think on down sizing lines too. I'm not much cop at selling so I would say, know your bottom prices and stick with them, there are plenty of chancers out there who'll try and take your trousers down.
Good luck with the table sale.

There doesn't look like much "meat" between those cylinders Duncan, I'd be conservative loading for that one.
