Re: Range day

It's not often I shoot full stoke loads but, for the occasions I do, I have an old DPM sniper jacket that lives in the back of my car, padded shoulders and elbows so just the job.
Looks like you had a grand day for your shoot btw Robert.

Re: I finally did it.

Which calibre was it Peter ? My carcano was a twat for that until I changed shell holders, I am still very careful with it even so.
I went over to finger lubing years ago btw, labour intensive I know but so is all my handloading, single stage presses etc....

Dragoon again

Had an afternoon of BP fun with my Uberti Dragoon again. I'll never make a pistolero with my offhand shooting  but from the rest position the gun does ok when I can keep it together. This is my 12m indoor club range and the set up I use. A few pics....

Re: Random Meaningless Pictures-Lets See Them

By 1950, the British Army introduced a new number system for all new recruits, commencing with 22000000. Where do you come in? Or is your number still wet? Each unit were issued a batch of numbers so dates may vary slightly depending on recruitment. 22000000 to 22199408 Carbolic Soap 22199409 to 231...

Not the same caliber but I found flat base 180g fmj's work well in my .303s. I don't know the first thing about .284 unfortunately. Load em, shoot em and have fun Duncan. ;)

Black n white

Looking at some of the black and white images posted in this forum prompted me to try out the B&W mode on my Nikon coolpix, it's different. Subject is my old Mk I BSA Airsporter air rifle in .22 caliber. Location is my local castle range.

That seems a reasonable price Duncan, handy having that scope mount on the top cover too. Another one would be nice to own but I don't think I could afford the running costs the price of rounds these days.

M14 Vern, pretty cool. :D My pal had a semi auto super duper target version of the M14 as I recall, of course this was pre semi auto rifle ban in the 80's. I was running a L1A1 at the time.
