Peter

I would tend to agree with you but I am not 100% sure that I could qualify for a Cat.1, being foreign and all that don't you know! To own one in 30-284W is 100% better than not owning one at all  Once I have this one under my belt I will ask some questions because I would like to add to the co...

Part - some more!!

Although not posing any problem, if you want to apply for Cat 1 or Cat 4 permits the club will, usually once a year, hold an 'exam' which I don't think ANYONE fails - which covers their backside, ie. You passed so you are fit to have a gun!! I took the exam last year so it was done with. It's a mult...

Categorie 1 requirements in France.

OK Peter here is the system in France. 1) Join a club and get your Fédération Français de TIR Licence Fédéral. 2) Be a member for at least 6 months and prove you are safe and reliable. You must also have a medical examination and the doctors signature on the back of the Licence as well as the Presid...

It is because the French government just before the Second World War were so worried that someone could come across a stash of Military Ammo and use it in an uprising that they changed the rules about owning Military Caliber weapons and thus the Cat 1 & Cat 4 bands. Yes, it does mean you can't u...

Hi Chris.

Here, if the gun is on the shelf so to speak then no problem, you pay, you fill in a register book and you walk out with it UNLESS it is Cat 1 or 4. Because I am buying this from Frankonia in Alsac and it has to be be re-chambered to 30-284W to make it Cat 5, they only started working on it when the...

WINE - FAQ'S

YOU ASK EM AND ILL TRY AND ANSWER EM Here is one to start you off! Q. Why do some vineyards grow roses at the end of the rows of vines? A. Two reasons are accepted. The first is that roses are very quick to show mildew which is also a major problem for vines. If the roses are effected then the wine...

Not good news.

Having contacted Darrell Harrison, he says that the next batch of mounts will not be available till August or September at $80 for pre-order or $90 after the batch is completed.

Think I will stick with open sights for a while!!!
