Can do it both ways DH.

Reloading dies are about 125€ for 30-284W. 20 commercial rounds are about 32€ I think. I intend to re-load in the long term. Will post details when I eventually get there.

AGHhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Any more of this Needle-Nardle-Noo and I think we may loose our Moderator Status Moriarty!

I will speak with my new business manager, The Hon Hercules Grytpype-Thynne who charges an insignificant fee of 2 gold 'C' melody saxophones per 5 minutes of consultation.

Fatang and good night buddy :!:

You are right to a point Dave.

Trouble is this category thing in France. Cat 1 & 4 (ANY pistol/revolver except BP replicas) need lots of officialdom and 5 does not. For instance, a Webley service revolver requires the same paperwork in Cat 4 as does a single shot .22 pistol, not that I posses either. I do own a .44 1858 Remin...

Duncan, how hard is it for you to import from Germany? To be honest with you Chris I don't know. I am currently working on a very tight budget and the deal done with Frankonia SEEMS to be a good one. Time will tell! ( There is a guarantee of grouping and quality offered). Because I am English and l...

I GET ANOTHER CHANCE?

We will have to create another team W. How about "Team Sneaky Sneaky" As to .303 'Sporting', I will have to get exact details from ESP but I think it is based on 'necking-down' the case. As long as you have a cartridge that is not EXACTLY the same as the military one you can registe...

dh.......

As far as I can make out from what Alain told me at the time, it is a Sniper without the scope. If I was to buy a complete Sniper it would cost upwards of 500€ and in the best condition with a set of re-loading dies for .303 sporting it would be about 900€. The 30-284W is a Winchester caliber but is...

AT LAST!

I sold a Meopta scope today and so have ordered a 91/30 from a company called Nemrod Frankonia in Ensieim, Alsace. As I don't speak good French my pal Alain, who is originally from the region telephoned and checked out their military department. The next batch of 91/30's that they are expecting will...

Getting nearer!

An 1891/30 is now a real possibility and so I am staring to make some inquiries around France to see what is available.

So far, Nemrod Frankonia in Alcase seem to be the best bet and so I shall be telephoning them tomorrow to see what is on offer.

Issue 1 received.

I have had a quick 'browse' through Issue One and I must say that it is a very well put together magazine and I shall certainly be subscribing.

Here is a small article which might interest.

The monies from this sale WILL be invested in an 1891...

AMATEURS!

Not one of them could hold up against a Pie & Peas pro. I was once credited with the longest fart in the company by the CSM (who, contrary to most opinions, was NOT the biggest s*#t on parade!). It started as I got out of bed and lasted all the way down the passage to the ablutions - and I didn...

Overseas subscription seems a bit steep though. Mind you,I don't think that £1.15 to send a copy to Aus is that OTT. I have been subscribing to a Digital Photo mag and that was costing £4.65 into a UK address AND it was full of adverts. Anyroadup, I will let you all know what I think of it when I h...
