Re: How lucky can you get?

Have no clue on how the barrel got bent on the Remington. There are no marks on the barrel and no damage to the stock.

Back in May, on the way home from work, I stopped off at one of the local pawn shops just to look around. I stop by this pawn shop about 3 or 4 times a week but don't find too m...

Re: 1929 Tula

Cut felt to fit in the bedding areas. wet them with BLO and then set then in the stock with the action. sung up the screws, but do not over tighten. Let it cure for 24 to 48 hours and your ready to go. You can also do it with dry fe...

Re: 1929 Tula

The last year of production for M91 Dragoon rifles was 1929. Check your rear sight to see if your rifle is an updated Dragoon. Ex-Dragoons have a gap at the rear of the sight base like the one in this pic. http://i39.tinypic.com/4kg1kz.jpg From your pic's It looks like you have a correct pre war sto...

Re: I bet most of us have a few

Your JC Higgins Mod. 29 is the same rifle as my Ted Williams Mod. 34 Sears Had rifles and shotguns made under both names. The JC Higgins hane was first use and in 1961 Seares changed their sporting goods brand name to Ted Williams. Both rifles were made by High Standard. The only reason I bought the...

Remington 572 Fieldmaster pump

Back in mid Jan. of this year I stopped by my local pawn shop to haggle on the price of an early mod. Ruger 10/22 I looked at the day before. When I get there they pull a Remington 572 out from behind the counter and put it in my hands. They know that I have a weak sopt for 22 rifles. :loco: ...
