The banjo can be made with any bread or roll, it's only a banjo when the egg yolk is "dangerous" ie soft n runny. If it spills down your shirt front you hold the sarnie away from your body and wipe the egg from your shirt, hence banjo.

Great foto Peter, I was flown back from Cyprus on one those, another of my favourites was the Brittania in RAF service, lovely aircraft.
