Re: Durham Light Infantry

The past serving members of a Regiment are the link to it's heritage and must be honored in the future.
Luckily there are many authors these days who are interested in recording the histories of these gallant Regiments. :GBR: :GBR: :GBR:

Re: English Side by Side

Birmingham was a gun making centre as early as the 17th C. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_Quarter BSA was probably the largest. I once had a shotgun 'fitted' at Westley Richards, that was an experience :D This shotgun is at least 90 years old so I have bought some mild loaded shells to try.

English Side by Side

I just 'won' an auction for an English Side by Side 16 g shotgun. Put in a silly bid and won it  It is marked as Birmingham gun marked Charles Osborne & Co Looks OK from the pics supplied by the seller and it comes with a 3 months guarantee so it should be OK. It has a 65 mm chamber so I ...

One of our problems is that we probably talk quite a bit on Skype where you can wave the piece about in front of the camera ( and sometimes shoot it out the door!! ) It needs new members or new topics to start the comments on here...... :D
