The holsters of the generic sort
I've bought holsters at gun shows for pistols I have. Rather, actually, bought holsters that may or may not fit specific pistols I have.... but maybe fit something. I've been pretty lucky at this as I have an assortment of sizes of pistols as potential matches for whatever I bring home. The holsters...

"Passed the Saturday Night Special Test"
I was going through my pistol safe and pulled this oddball out. I got it from a gun show in August of 2003 and it cost all of $54 and may or may not have been "darn well worth it". I put in a google to see if anybody could tell me anything about it other than it was in .22 and a bitch to g...

Re: New topics related to guns?
Here is a start pulled from a folder without thinking about it as anything in particular before pulling it. Just what came to hand literally. Anybody buy one of these back whenever? Anybody remember anything about Samco? I do. I remember one particular thing that used to cause a detonation of accusa...

New topics related to guns?
Looks like nothing is happening. How about... anybody who is still here... posting something gun related? I'll try to post something , that maybe somewhat like something before, to try to say something about guns we collect and why it fascinates us for some reason.

Re: THE FIRST WORLD WAR as reported in the daily news
France and Russia plotted the first world war? There was a Senator from Oklahoma who said he thought so in December of 1923. Some of what he says reminds me of today. The part about governments subsidizing and controlling the press and getting people to hate other people and policy makers saying the...

Re: The Digital answer to Minolta Maxxum lenses Sony Alpha A65
Took it out to Battleship park today. Used the 18-55 Sony lens and the Minolta Max 75-300. Couldn't have gone better. Images really sharp and high resolution. Images made at med level 4300 pixel width resolution. Camera does really good in low relatively limited light without flash. Colors look good...

Re: The Digital answer to Minolta Maxxum lenses
The first models used the old wide card. This one uses the same SD cards other up to the minute cameras use. Well .... up to the minute cameras sometime like the mini size card....which I don't like .... but have a camera that uses it. I could give a fire and brimstone lecture about what a crappy id...
