Kind of stumbled into this one but I am glad I did, all numbers matching and original except for the butt plate and the reproduction Monopod.
Now to find a nice Kokura 2.5x scope for it

Timing is everything they say , and good timing and a little bit of luck has paid off for me. I found my Kokura scope this past weekend ( only 119 off my S/N ), complete with carrying case, lens brush, lens rag, and original Japanese instruction sheet. Now to get a new rubber eye cup and I am in business.

I always think that Japanese weapons should have 'Made In Hong Kong' stamped on them somewhere

Not my cup of tea but there again, it's good for those who do like them as I am not competing for any

Some were made in China. I got a Type 38 that was. At Mukden.

Nice wee extras MT, I've never owned a Jap but would dearly love to.

One of those turned up on our range a few years ago. That is the only time I have seen one close up. The Japanese sniper rifles seem quite rare in the UK.

Peter.

Thanks gentlemen, never really had a desire to own a 2nd Japanese sniper rifle, but collecting these snipers has added a new level of enjoyment to my collecting.
