A pretty bad example of an Arisaka

Peter put me up to it in another string. It's the only one I have and a pretty rough example. I got it from Springfield Sporters back in February of 2000 for $70. I think it was advertised at the time as having spent most, or all of the last half of the 20th century in China. I knew it was going to be rough from the discription before I bought it. I just wanted to see an example.
The stock looks like it had been used to pound in fence posts......or was a fence post and something pounded it. Really dinged with a long crack to go with it. The mum was not just removed but somebody worked overtime on it. And needless to say, the numbers on the bolt don't match the receiver in any way.
The only plus side to this is that the dust cover is still with it and the bore is dark but otherwise looks good.
There probably are some import marks on it somewhere but don't see them at the moment.
The symbol on the reciever to mark the place of manufacture, I have written down as Manchuria......but have no idea where I got that from other than something I saw online.
