IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE IN SLINGS BETWEEN RIFLES WITH SWIVELS ON SIDE OR ON BOTTOM?

There is a difference in carbine and regular T38 rifle and I beleive the T99 sling is also different dimensions. I could not look and tell one from another as I don't collect them. Never had but two, sold one and gave the other away. riceone.
