Restoration of a Japanese T99 Sniper
I am restoring a sniper for a friend. Someone before him chopped the stock, threw away the scope block and put a 1903A3 Springfield barrel in it. In the picture you will see a block on the rifle, I forgot to take a picture before I sent it to Don Schlickman for the block.

This is the rifle that will be the donar for the stock and hardware and the barrel. It is a Nogoya series 6. The action and bolt of the sniper match.

How I did It
First I marked the ends of the block. For a fine saw to cut the ends I used a fine tooth hacksaw blade. Then trimed out the wood with a 1/2" chisel. Making the final fitting using a small rasp and a file. The relief cut at the front end near the recoil bolt I did on my knee mill using a 1/2" cutter. riceone

03 BARREL
IS THE BARREL WORTH HAVING? WHAT IS IT CHAMBERED FOR? I DID A SIMILIAR REBARREL WITH A 2 GROOVE IN 308. SHOT A LOT OF GROUNDHOGS. IF THE BARREL IS USABLE I MIGHT BE INTERESTED.
