Flat Base V Boat Tail..........

Postby DuncaninFrance » Sun Mar 11, 2018 4:00 am

..... for target shooting up to 200 yds / mtrs.

I am looking for an efficient bullet to load in my 'New' Savage 99C in .284 Winchester.

I was going to buy some 162gr HPBT but while looking around for some I came across a site here in France who were offering Sierra Bullets 7MM 120 GRAINS SPT PROHUNTER and PRVI 7mm 120 GRAINS Flat base HP as well as all the usual BT suspects !

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

I think the problem is, Duncan, is that you are one of the few who own a rifle that shoots .284 Winchester.

Not the same caliber but I found flat base 180g fmj's work well in my .303s. I don't know the first thing about .284 unfortunately. Load em, shoot em and have fun Duncan. ;)
