Crack in the neck

Postby Dutch Mosin » Mon Dec 30, 2013 2:44 pm

This is what happened to one of my Lapua cases after having reloaded it for the 43rd, yes 43rd time for my Mosin Nagant M39......a crack in the neck.
I have to add that I reload reduced loads only.
Instead of 45grains of VihtaVuori N140 I use 18 grains of N110.
Because I use these cases only in my M39 I only neck size them.

Next to the Lapua cases I reload a lot of S&B cases.
I can throw these away after 20 to 25 times reloading.

Got some range time coming up on Sunday.
Let's see how the Lapua cases perform the 44th time. :D

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin :)

Quality for sure Joe, but I think the reduced loads and neck sizing only have helped prolonging the life of these cases.
