I was gifted this holster a few weeks ago and only just got round researching it. It's for the Czech CZ Pistol Model 27 in 7.65 calibre. The stamps are from left, the CZ mark ( think), german waffenamt 76 stamp, 1942 obviously, then pistol designation. The interesting bit under the flap is pen drawn Captain G.F. Greening and what looks like RAMC. So obviously a bit of history here, as the Germans took over Czech war production early in the war, then it has been captured by a British Captain who, I'm assuming, brought it home complete with pistol as a war trophy. If these things could only tell the tales...
A few pics.

As you say, the lost stories......
Re: P.Mod 27 holster
Makes me wonder what happened to the pistol. Confiscated by the Government perhaps?

Re: P.Mod 27 holster
War tophies still turn up Robert, they are usually handed over to the police or dealers with authority to take handguns. Penalties are stiff for unlicenced arms in UK.
