Since discovering that the firing pin in my M-H Carbine had been 'deactivated' and rep[lacing it with a 'new' one i have been told how to effect a repair that should work.

So, this is how I tried it......

1) Old and new pin together.

2) Drill a hole in the old pin the size of the pin hole in the breech block.

After drilling the hole, use the same drill bit to make the firing pin.

Measure an OAL for the pin and cut the bit so that the flutes are short enough to go completely into the hole. This will give the solder extra grip.
After soldering in place measure and cut the excess of the drill bit off

Clean the end and smooth it off.

So now you have two firing pins. Great.

Wonder what I did with the broken one that came with my Nepal historic mud puppy?
