PARKER HALE RODS

Post by DuncaninFrance » Sat Nov 15, 2008 3:44 am

Can anyone tell me what the thread size/type is on a Parker Hale cleaning rod. I have a rifle one and a pistol one but of course jags and brushes bought here don't fit but I am sure I can re-thread them if I know the original dims.

They are a peculiar truncated thread. But I have found that 5/16 BSW works for the small bore rods and 7/32 BSW for the big rod and for the ram rods on PH Enfields.

Received a 7/32nd BSW tap in the post today from the UK for £7.05 inc Postage and VAT. Works fine!

I got it from a very friendly company called Tracy Tools in Torquay. Their website is http://www.tracytools.com nice people to deal with and a very good selection of kit. Can recommend them
