congrats on your fine purchase , if you are using it with patch and ball then i would use a thinner material than the 4X2 I use the linen that hospitals use for arm slings cut in 30mm squares and then lubed with gun oil , not soaked just slightly damp about half a teaspoon full to a hundred or so patches and leave for a week or so for the oil to permeat all of the patches

Fantastic looking rifle Duncan and a very good shooter too.
Looks a lot like the Ardesa Hawken Woodsman in .45 I bought last year.
I'm now looking forward to picking up the Armi Sport Le Page in a couple of weeks.
I think I'm addicted to this ML shooting.
