NIPPLE PROTECTION............
When I recently took delivery of my Hawken rifle I noticed that the nipple was "'Burred over" from being "Dry Fired"
I thought there would probably be an accessory to place over the nipple to stop this but after various searches on Google I could not find anything in France to fit the bill.................SO..........................as always, I decided to make my own.
1. Take some small wall plugs.
2. Drill them out to fit (just) over the nipple and cut them off just a little longer than the actual nipple chimney.
3. Place one over the nipple on the rifle.
4. Allow the hammer to rest on the protector.......................
Simples!

Re: NIPPLE PROTECTION............
Say...that is a pretty interesting invention. I'd have never thought of it.

Not really new, been around for a few years

They were on Sniders as well, but then they were to stop an accidental blow to the firing pin.
