Milsurp After Hours

Made this for personal use about thirty years ago.
The pics are pretty much self explanatory but I'll follow
up with a post on some of the tricks in making a good
waterproof horn.
This one has been in a few creeks and been out in
heavy dew [due ] and rain, but has never let any moisture in.

Nice. Well done. "Real" powder horns can be quite valuable.
I've got one that I use mostly for decoration. I didn't make it. I bought it at a flea market. Once upon a time I thought about making one with the scrimshaw decoration showing some imaginary pioneer folk art. But.... never did it.

Hope that it can be read.

A reamer for the spout can be filed up out of a bit of flat mild steel as the horn is easy to work.
