The Gunsmith's Manual

Post by Aughnanure » Wed Apr 08, 2015 5:24 pm

Many years ago I bought a copy and found it very useful, but somewhere along the line I lost it,( moves, nicked or whatever).

I've just bought a paperback copy for a few dollars on the net.
Anyone doing restoration work on muzzle loaders or early breach loaders will find that they will wonder how they ever got along without it and that goes double for anyone who doesn't have power tools.
The book was originally published in 1883 and 'tells it like it was'.

You won't regret it, Duncan.
I got mine from Abe Books as well, took a while as they ran out of stock , but they were as good as their word and asked me if I wanted a refund or if I'd wait, i opted to wait and it was only a bit over a week later that the emailed me that it was on its way.
I forget what I paid but it was value for money, it's a cheap printing but the content is the real value.

I'm sure that you'll enjoy it and find it very useful.
