This cam up in a conversation with a chap at my local gun shop today.
A friend of his gave him a round for a Sharps which was 45/82!
He has been trying to find some in formation on this particular round without success. Can anyone enlighten him?

Re: Sharps ammo.........
Seems like it is still made on a special order (Rocky Mountain at $78 a box of 20.
From the net Do a search Sharps 45/82
"The 45-82 was a variant of the 45-90 (2.4" case ) loaded with a 405 gr bt and 82 gr powder.
The case is the same as the 45-90WCF and the 45 2 4/10" Sharps.
In the late 19th cent ammo and gun makers would list load variations on the same ctg case with a different designation."
