The .300 AAC AR that we built for my Grandson is complete except for the optics. It was his first AR build and my first time building the upper half from a pile of parts.
I didn't get any pictures of him torquing the barrel nut because it took both of us to keep the wrench pins lined up and in the barrel nut that came with the free float tube. Trying to index the flash suppressor was nearly as much fun for him.
I believe that this qualifies as a silly grin.
Once the vice work was done it was on to the kitchen table for the final assembly
Whenever there is a box involved with a job around my house this is bound to happen
"OK, I give up, where does this go?"
I don't even want to talk about what the surface of the table looked like by the time we were done.
Iron sights will have to do until this months social security comes in.
