I broke down and bought an M-95 from a friend last night. Good blueing and pretty wood. Bolt is not nearly as smooth as my K-31.

I did my first serious shooting last night. Once properly cleaned, the bolt is not as stiff. It is still no K-31. The ammo feeds better now that I use handloads rather than german surplus but still misfeeds about one in five rounds.

My digital camera is still in the box and i would have had to give up RANGE TIME! to get it up and running.

Just remember that the M95 saw plenty of combat while the K-31

and its forebears just "watched and waited".

I've got four or five of them and even the short barrel carbines are good shooter. I'm starting to just shoot lead bullets in mine, the're slower and dont hurt as much.

If you take your bolt apart and clean it good, put it back together with luberplate(like we had for the M1 garand and M14's(you can get it at gun shows or on line) it will slick up your bolt real nice.

I bought a M 95 a few years ago, covered in cosmoline of course and promptly stuffed it in the back corner of my closet.

Well, recently I pulled it out again and commenced cleaning and found a remarkably nice gun under the grease. All of the markings are crisp and everything is well machined with no sharp corners to draw blood like some cheap firearms.

I have dies now and am collecting some brass, ordered a .330 mold and sizer and will see what she can do.

I bought some of the old nazi marked ammo way back but will keep it in reserve and merely utilize a couple of the clips.

I look forward to wringing this old gun out.

8x56R,,, I have a Lee .330 mold on the way. I hope she shoots as good as she looks.
