Bonhams Sporting guns auction today

Post by 24626151 » Wed Mar 25, 2009 3:06 pm

Today I spent a tense afternoonn watching the goodies and baddies go through the sporting gun auction at Bonhams in Knightsbridge.
I was lucky enough to be the bidder with the most staying power (or stupidity) for a .275 Rigby. I collect it next week.
This is why I was all hot and flustered, buck fever for a rifle at my age!

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy!

Yea, nice indeed. Hope it's as good as it looks.
I went through the catalogue; the gun that went fo 21,000 quids interested me but the one for 48 underneath it was more within my bank manager's estimates :(

It certainly could have been cleaned and their photographer should do weddings. Judging by the bargains available I should be getting my RFD ticket sorted out for this year!

Whatever the photographer's efforts that is a nice looking rifle 151, congrats on a good purchase.

Thanks lads, just waiting on my dealer delivering it, keep missing each others calls. Time to test it out in the woods!
