New Guns

Post by ian27 » Sat Oct 22, 2011 5:41 pm

I havent posted for a while, but have been lurking in the background. My father took ill in 2009, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he passed away September 2010. During this time all thoughts of shooting and firearms went out of my head, and its only this past few months that I have got back in to it. Anyway, I have bought three new firearms, a CZ Tactical Sport .40 S&W pistol, a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum revolver and an Accuracy International AW .308 rifle. Will post a few pics soonest.

Well, it seems Ireland doesn't have the same gun laws as England?

Ian, so sorry about your Dad, I know what it's like mate to loose a father. I find myself now looking at some of the things I do and say and thinking ' Thats the old man coming out in me'!

Nice to see you posting again anyway, look forward to your future participation mate.

Thankyou for your kind words Duncan. I will no doubt be back to posting a lot more now.

The gun laws in N Ireland are a lot different than in mainland United Kingdom. We are very lucky that we can still get handguns, but our laws are still quite restrictive. There arent many gun shops in N Ireland , and there are only a few that bother to deal in handguns, most just deal in shotguns and .22 rimfire rifles. I got my rifle from the main dealer of Accuracy International in mainland UK. Reloading components are another pain in the ass to get, most of the stuff I use I again get from mainland UK.
