And the Lubber is back. They are about four inches long and look like the grasshopper Darth Vader. They are slow and plod along about like a snail in a hurry. They are said to be toxic to birds and small animals that would dare eat one. They also are said to give out a toxic mist if attacked. You only find them in the deep south. They seem to like certain local areas better than others. You can find them in some parts of town and not in others....must be some geographic feature that I can't figure. They like to eat green leaves and are selective as to what kind they will eat.... they like lettuce but won't touch tomato plants for instance.
