That nasty, forend destroying square on stock bolts.

The SMLE is one of the few service rifles, or any rifle, that has a built-in wrecker of forends, in the square on the end of the stock bolt.

I was writing about this on another forum and remembered that when it was discussed on here that one of the earlier carbines had the same feature, but I can't remember which.

Can anyone remember and jog my memory?

Hi Eoin, I just got a strange email which is apparently from you but all it says is Hi!
