Dusting off my Enfields

Post by Niner » Wed Mar 06, 2013 1:58 pm

I was dusting off some of the collection. I thought I'd take a few photos by kind for insurance purposes. First off...gathered all the Enfields in one place. This includes the Napal 1853 and a reproduction 1853 as well.

From the top:
2A1
2A
1MKIII with granade wrap. India service.
5MKI BSA
5MKI BSa
1MKIII. I**. Original date 1904 later updated 1917. Has the magazine cutoff.
4MKI Savage. Lend Lease.
4MKI Fazakerly from 8/48

On the sides...left the Napal and the right the reproduction BP rifles

Oh crap. I forgot one. Darn Lithgow was in a different rack. Well.....England and Australia are in different parts of the world so I guess it is only right.

Nice collection of Enfields you got there Robert, poor me only has a single No5Mk1 Jungle Carbine that I bought off my Dad along with 300 rounds of 50's british surplus ammo. I have know idea who did the chroming, but I have seen 3 others just like it. Been told I need to get a white leather sling for it to give it that "honor gaurd" look.

Beautiful collection of Enfields Robert. I must add a jungle carbine to mine.

i enjoy revisiting , these remind me of how far we've come ,

one of my old photos of the early side of my collection and its revolvers , im adding it again - im certain its here somewhere , to inspire some additional input , ive added a number since this was taken , a few earlier than what you see , some later , ill try to update a bunch when the weather improves , well below zero F here right now - more conducive to reloading than photography i think ,
