Re: NEW PROJECT.......................
I looked on Lees site and they were $122 but we get screwed here in Europe for anything from the US
Kranks in the UK quoted about €125 / $138 but that was only for a 2 die set and no shell holder.
Looking on the bright side though, it's a great learning curve

Re: NEW PROJECT.......................
Here, as promised are the photographs from the first strip down of the rifle.
The markings seem to be 100% BSA and there are numerous places marked with 4 punch indents.
Overall the weapon appears in good order and shootable BUT if anyone spots a potential problem let me know - I hope to take it to the range next week if possible.

Re: NEW PROJECT.......................
I'd say it has enough official marks and proofs. Looks like some minor pitting....which I would think is to be expected. I look forward to seeing what kind of shooter it is in pictures of your future paper target.

Re: NEW PROJECT.......................
Have now finished the Mk.II version of the jig for cutting down 24g cases, which works very well. No need for a dowel insert as a sharp blade cuts very evenly with no distortion to the plastic.
It even allows for cutting brass 24g but using a saw rather than a knife
Just nee a casting session over the weekend and it's range time next week
