Morris tube assistance

Post by Missing Something » Thu Feb 26, 2015 9:18 am

So, I found this Morris tube.... its in .297/230 Long and its 25 inches OAL. Most tubes that I can find documentation on were 30+ inches, 26 inches and 21 inches (military issue)..... Has LM and a serial number..... Its also in .303 British.

So.. what does this fit in???

I have a 31" tube which came with my CLLE and like you I haven't come across a 25" example. Is it possible it has been damaged at the muzzle and cut down/rethreaded at some point in its life???

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Might want to ask over here http://britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com/ , maybe in the gunsmithing forum. There's a fair bit of arcane knowledge on that board and some really nice folks.
