Veteran's Day 2013

We had our Veteran's Day get celebration in DC this year. There are still a few of us left. The Vietnam veteran's of the 5th Bn of the 7th US Cavalry Regiment started an association 20 yrs ago. We have been looking for troopers that served with the unit ever since. It is getting harder to find more of them as the years have gone by. People have moved and some have passed before we were able to make contact. They had trouble finding me because I was from NY state, but left nearly 40 years ago, and none of my family still lives in the same town. A friend was found a few weeks ago. Same deal, he was from Brooklyn, but also ended up in SC thirty years ago. We have lived within two hours of each other and never knew it. I talked him into coming to DC with us. It was the first time we had seen each other in 45yrs. We all had a great time catching up.
