I enquired about this medal some six months ago and as I already have the Australian Service Medal, clasp "Korea", wasn't sure that I'd qualify.

Never heard a word and forgot all about it till the Postman knocked on the door this morning;

It was struck , somewhat belatedly, in recognition of post Armistice Service in Korea, 1953 -1956.

At least they gave you the medal. I posted something at my other site the other day about some unit awards that were authorized but not actually given. Will the Aussie government give you a complete reissue of your earned and awarded metals? The US government will..... or at least used to.
