Glad you found the Cafe Du Monde. Right after I posted the last I got to thinking....It's on the other side of Jackson Square and not Lafayette park. Oh well..glad you enjoyed it. The French Market coffee is the best with the beignets. It's really cafe au lait and has chicory added in with the coffee beans. In the mornings there is usually a guy entertaining for tips. I've seen sax players and at other times strange acts where a guy dressed up like a clown poses like a statue.

Good to see your father be recognized in the ceremony at the WWII museum. I'm sure it will be a good memory for him and for you and for the rest of your family on into the future.
