Monday July 6 1914

In early morning, in Park of new palace Kaiser, before leaving for Kiel on Northern cruise, conferred with Adml von Tirpitz's deputy in Berlin naval Office, Adml. Capelle and with other personages. As result of Potsdam conference on July 5-6 it was resolved to take preparatory war measures.

Goeben ordered to Pola for boiler repairs; german dockyard hands sent to expedite work.
Scharnhorst & Gneisenau (Adml. Spee) en route to Samoa, ordered to await instructions at Truck or Ponape.

During afternoon , Count Szögyény and Hoyos conferred with Chancellor and Herr Zimmermannin Berlin.

Tuesday July 7 1914

Joint Ministerial Council in Vienna to consider, in light of assurances of German support, chances of war with Serbia and eventually also Russia. principal of Ultimatum to Belgrade adopted.
