Happened a year ago and the Army just released the incident report.
Seems they were trying to knock a round out of the tube and it went off......
The 155mm round exploded in the tube, 1 dead and 2 seriously wounded. I'm actually surprised
that it didn't kill the whole crew, guess the tube itself absorbed a lot of the blast.
It's bad enough to die in combat, but to die in training..........seems such a waste.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.
