My old boss, Charlie Shearim

Shearim C.JPG
as the Armourer Sgt of 1 RAR in Korea, 1955, I first met him when he was on an earlier tour of duty in Korea as Armourer Sgt of 3 RAR, when I was a lowly grunt.
Little did I think that not many years later I'd be one of his armourers in Base Workshops.

There is a bit about him and his father , here:https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/MELJ0505/

When at Base Wksp Charlie and I spent some happy hours together on the range, ostensibly testing weapons. :D :D

Interesting Eoin. I think that would be a job at the top of my list if I did it all over again. Pity we only get one life to live (as far as I know that is)
