On time

Another little story involving Colonel "Spin'" Buckler of 3 RAR.
We were all assembled in the CO's office for an orders group, Company Commanders and their Signallers; we sigs were seated on the floor at the back.

The Colonel started off "Gentlemen...." but he probably saw a look exchanged between two of the lowly sigs, so he started again "Gentlemen, and that includes all in this room, I am just about to start but the OC "B" Coy. isn't here yet, however as it is not yet 0900 he has a minute or so."

Marching feet are heard approaching, the Colonel says "Wait for it!"

Door opens to admit the "B" Coy. OC, right on the dot, who salutes smartly and says,

"Major Watch, Sir, on time all the time"

Colonel Buckler quietly smiled.
Self Defence is not only a Right, it is an Obligation.

Eoin.
