Lest We Forget

Post by Aughnanure » Mon Mar 12, 2007 7:07 pm

Going through the 'Last Post' notifications in 'Reveille' a magazine put out by our State ex-servicemans organization, I came across this entry:

'Trainor, GR. 20323366 Sgt. 722nd USAAF'

First time I've seen an American serviceman listed in the deaths among all the locals that served in WW II and afterwards.

Just reminded me of all the other things we, on this forum, have in common.

Vale, Sgt Trainor.

Aughnanure!!!

I get where you are coming from!!!!! The sad thing is, that the wars still go on. Some people are only too quick to forget what servicemen have done so that they may live free!!! I pray that people do not forget!!!!

High Regards

Ian
