Not something I can comment on first hand but I can remember my Father talking about one time just after he returned from a posting to Portugal during the war, ( S/Sgt instructor in the Royal Tank Corps converting the Portuguese Cavalry to tanks ) he and my future godfather were suspected of drawing Chad's around Bovington Camp. Part II orders said that this must cease forthwith and the next morning one had appeared with " WOT!-Rub us all out " underneath it!!
