A tribute to a fallen soldier

Post by Brass Rat » Mon May 26, 2008 2:36 pm

Bob and I spent the morning of this Memorial Day holiday on the range having a great time that wraped up with a #1 MkIII shoot out. We weren't really keeping score but with both of us shooting side by side off hand we managed to go through 80 rounds of South African surplus in about 6 minutes.

After cleaning the rifles I checked my email and and found this link from Michael Yon, just the thing I needed to slap me back to reality and remind us all that brave men and women are, this day, going in harms way on our behalf.

Much has changed over the last few hundred years, weapons have improved, tactics have evolved, empires have come and gone but it is still the infantryman that wins or looses the battle
