I was in Vietnam in November of 1970. Left in December. In the northern part of South Vietnam the rainy season was in and there often was fog in the higher elevations.

Good article. Does illustrate that military mindset though - you can die in front of witnesses, with repeated attempts to save you but because there are no remains you're listed as MIA.
At least the aussie military can now close the MIA chapter of Vietnam.
Quite a contrast with the Villiers-Bretonneux memorial.

Well better missing than misplaced. A guy from WWII from my home town was a pilot and killed. He was buried in an unmarked grave although at the time they knew who he was. Then he was forgotten about. Recently a researcher put two and two together.
