REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY, BORDEAUX

Taken just after the ceremony at the Allied Military Cemetery, Talence, Bordeaux which was attended by British and French Standards, French dignatories, HM Consul, a representative of the US Consul.
We then ajourned to an Irish Pub in the centre of Bordeaux and enjoyed a traditional Sunday Lunch. Excellent day.

Twas Remembrance Day here today: 11 November.

Had a good turnout at the Glen Innes War Memorial and this year we had a real live bugler, anyway here's a photo of me after I got home as I forgot to take the camera .

Had a 'couple' of jars too.

Looking very distinguished there Eoin. I'd figure you for at least a full colonel by that photo.

It's veterans day here and there will be some parades. But going would not be my thing. Besides I have to declare war on some limbs and leaves from the last big rain.
