A WWII Marine

Marine Sid Phillips wrote a memoir and it's very good. He's from my home town and is featured in the Ken Burns WWII PBS series and in the new HBO Pacific series. His new book is filled with interesting and often humorous slice of life kind of stories. Refreshingly little bragadocio. Having just finished it I found his website promoting his book. One of the features includes some question and answer short videos.

Here is one worth a look. It's a question about what was the worst thing about the battle of Guadalcanal.
