Certificate of Recognition?

Post by Niner » Sun May 30, 2010 1:58 pm

How about this for really reaching for a way to make a buck? I know of a guy who has figured every way he could to make a buck off of a relationship to a particular infantry battalion. Now his latest is to offer a special personalized "certificate of recognition" for participation in the short time invasion of Cambodia in 1970. The idea is for a guy to buy a piece of paper to pat himself on the back for taking part in something that happened forty years ago that didn't amount to as much historically as the riots in the US caused by it.

The "certificate" is authorized by nobody but the guy selling it.......although it might seem to be authorized by the 4th Division which the 3/506, 101st was op-con to at the time of the actual event. I got a feeling he won't find many takers.

Niner Delta......if you got the money, he's got the printing press. He'll even throw in some crossed cannons on top if you like at no extra charge and use real parchment looking paper too.

I wouldn't tempt fate there Eoin. He might do anything. But he isn't really crooked, yet....just greedy.
